CANIDAE Natural Pet Food Company and California microbrewery Tap It Brewing will share the spotlight again this year as title sponsors of the Best in the Desert Silver State 300 race taking place May 3rd through 5th, in Alamo, Nevada, just north of Las Vegas.

The CANIDAE Pet Foods/Tap It Brewing Silver State 300 will feature racers from across the Western United States competing against each other in multiple classes including the prestigious Trick Truck class where CANIDAE has its own entry, the #95 truck co-driven by Scott Whipple and Scott Gailey.

CANIDAE Racing Takes 1st at Dome Valley Sand Drags

The CANIDAE Top Fuel Sand Drag Team headed to Dome Valley to qualify in the 3rd Annual Dome Valley Top Fuel Shootout. Scott Whipple and the CANIDAE Sand Drag Team are the current world record holders and blew away the competition during this event's qualifying with a blistering pass of 2.24 seconds at 169mph in 300ft. This earned Whipple 1st Place Qualifier and a New Track Record.

After driving to the Best in the Desert Parker 425 race to share driving duties with Scott Gailey in the team's Trophy Truck, Whipple turned back around and returned to Dome Valley for the top fuel sand drag main heat. Whipple and the CANIDAE crew won with a time of 2.25 seconds at 168mph. Meanwhile, back in Parker, Gailey was keeping a great pace lap 3 and brought the truck across the finish line. CANIDAE Trophy Truck Takes 2nd Place at SNORE Rage at the River Sunday

TT/SPORTSMAN SATURDAY - The guys wanted to get some practice in and see the course before the main race so we entered the truck into the Sportsman 1450 to put down some laps. Daran Rupp a long time CANIDAE racing crewmember got the opportunity to ride in the trophy truck for the Sportsman race. The truck ran flawlessly and upon returning I don’t think any of us have seen a bigger smile on Daran’s face.

TT SATURDAY - After getting warmed up in the 1450 race Scott Whipple was ready to go out and see what the truck could do up against the tough track SNORE provided at this year’s RATR event. Pat Gailey, Scott’s co-driver, had just finished racing his class 10 car when he pulled into the pits with just enough time to hop in the trophy truck and head up to staging.
