The candles were lit and off they went. The CANIDAE T/F dragster hiked the front end at the bite of the throttle and didn't set it down until way after the finish line. Whipple commented he thought he was headed for the moon! 2.30 seconds to click the lights off - not with the rear tires but the wheely bar. Oh what a pass!!

3/20 @ 4:30pm

Back at the pits the team prepares the car for final qualifying pass around 6:30 tonight. Daran has the clutch adjusted as Whipple stares at the computer and Amos twists some knobs. Word on the street is the knobs they're turning are gonna step her up or rip off every paddle of the goodyears!

3/20 @ 3:00pm

Pass #1 is out of the way. Team CANIDAE runs an impressive 2.39 in the heat of the day. Making quite a few adjustments to be able to step it up tonight!!

It's a gorgeous Friday morning as Team CANIDAE is nestled in the beautiful farm land of Dome Valley just north of Yuma, AZ. We all got to meet track owner Ernesto and his two sons who welcomed us with open arms. Ernesto was nice enough to build this beautiful facility on his farm land right next to his house! They have expanded the facility and added additional pit parking to fulfill the needs of larger events. Ernesto has also teamed up with the NSDA to put this race on for the sand drag community. Thank you Ernesto and NSDA for giving us a place to race!!! Thank you also to all the racers who showed up to have some fun. Stay tuned as we get ready to make our first qualifying pass around 2:00-3:00 today. The track looks fast and we expect some good numbers.
