CANIDAE'S Own Jason Cobb Jumps Into the Class 6 Wars!

After a 9 year lay off from truck and car racing, CANIDAE employee Jason Cobb will return to off road racing in a brand new SCORE Class 6 truck. This truck will be a smaller version of the already popular CANIDAE Trophy Truck and will feature a Toyota 4.0L V6 engine and transmission with performance parts from TRD.

Cobb, a CANIDAE regional sales representative, has been racing off road trucks and cars since 1994 and has amassed numerous class wins and a couple of championships in off road racing. "We have a great design, a great fabricator, an excellent team and the best sponsors. I cannot tell you how happy and fortunate I am to work for CANIDAE Pet Foods and at the same time be able to get back in the sport at this level and with this amazing team,” said Cobb.

This new class has created quite a buzz in the racing community with several trucks being built to compete against the already large field. At the Parker 425 this year, there were 31 trucks entered in the class so by the Baja 1000, SCORE could have 40 or more entered in the epic event! Basically a Trophy Truck with a V6, this class was designed for great performance with minimal costs to race and maintain.

Being built by B&A Motorsports in Phoenix, Arizona, this truck will roll on BF Goodrich 37" tires with the steering, hubs, spindles, brake pedal and other products being supplied by Gear One Industries. KC HiLites has signed up to handle the truck's lighting while Lucas Oil Products will handle all lubrication as well as cleaning and waxing products. Mastercraft Safety will supply the truck with seats, safety restraints, hydration systems, window nets, tool bags and limit straps. Baer Brakes will handle the stopping power at all four corners. Other sponsors are being signed up so stay tuned for more Class 6 truck updates.

The Baja 500 in June is scheduled to be the first race for this new truck and the team hopes to see both the CANIDAE Trophy Truck and this new Class 6 Truck up on the podium at the end of the day. Stay tuned to www.canidaeracing.com to see how the team is progressing on the build of this vehicle. See you out there!
