Brian has been around racing all of his life. At a young age he was introduced to racing by his father Ray Fitzpatrick who owned several dragsters and started a business manufacturing racing engines. Brian started his racing career in the bracket classes with the sand drags. He also raced go-karts in the 100 cc Yamaha class and won several events. In 2001, he started racing again with the A-fuel class with the sand dragsĀ and currently holds the mile per hour and E.T. record for the B-pro turbo class.

In 2007, Brian moved to asphalt racing and introduced his 2JZ twin turbo Toyota dragster to NHRA at Englishtown, New Jersey during exhibition runs while racing with the NOPI drag racing series.

In 2008, Brian traveled around the United States and raced in the NHRA/NOPI Extreme Dragster Class. He finished out the season 2nd in the points beating all other imports in his class.

In 2009, Brian raced in two classes, Top dragster and then transitioned over to the Competition Eliminator class. At the end of the season Brian reached his goal of becoming the quickest import in the world with a record elapsed time of 6.33 seconds at 221mph at the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals in the Competition Eliminator Class.

In 2010, Brian will be racing in the Lucas Oil Division 7 series along with racing at select NHRA national events. In Pomona at the Winternationals he broke his own record and ran an elapsed time of 6.22 seconds at 226 mph. [video]
