The CANIDAE Pet Foods Top Fuel Sand Drag Team knows exactly what it takes to be fast when it comes to racing in the sand. This nitro-burning beast of a machine, driven by Scott Whipple, generates over 6,000 horsepower as it explodes down the hundred yard long dirt track, consistently reaching the finish line in under 2.4 seconds and over 160 mph. Team CANIDAE is the current world record holder having achieved a 2.221 ET at 172.79 MPH at the Canidae Pet Foods Nationals in April 2010.

Our accomplishments include lowering the bar on T/F records year after year and winning the 2004 ASDA and Tri-State Points championship. In 2005 we didn’t attempt championship points but won a majority of races. In 2006 we were ASDA Champions. We took the NSDA Championship in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and started the 2010 season in Arizona with a first place finish and were champions again in April for the CANIDAE Pet Food Nationals at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex.

CANIDAE Pet Foods T/F Sand Drag Racing ended the 2009 season retaining their ET Record with a final pass of 60’ .959, 300’ 2.239 at 164.16 MPH, in the dirt! In April 2010 we shattered our own World Record by turning in the fastest TF run in history: a 2.221 ET at a blistering 172.79 MPH.

In 2011 at the SCSDA Pumpkins and Paddles race, we took first place again with a stellar 2.38 pass on a tough track. The 2012 season kicked off with a blistering 2.25 seconds at 168mph to take the win at Dome Valley.
